Big-Shot Published Authorings

"Does this unholy abomination I’m gestating make me look fat?" Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan in Twighlight: Breaking Dawn Part One, pontificated over in the review, "The Year After the Year of the Woman."

Little Village

Iowa City's Arts and Culture Magazine

Kit Bryant cooly wrote for cool mag, Little Village. She did the Talking Movies column, which was as much serious film analysis as it was boner jokes. This was shockingly the only job she ever had where her degree in Film was not openly scoffed at.

"Don't you see? People are ALL just numbers. You, for instance, are a big, fat zero!" (Alternate dialoge found scribbled in Aaron Sorkin's diary.)  From Kit's review, "Moneyballs"

Pop/Corn

Kit's Blog of Movie Reviews

Pop/corn was Kit's entry into the glamorous world of comedy film analysis. She started this ground-breaking personal project after she decided she was probably just too intimidatingly awesome to have a social life.

Kit did not write the Horoscopes, located on the same page, but she did contribute several numbers to the sudoku, including "7," "3," and "2."

The Ledge

Humor Column in The Daily Iowan

Remember newspapers? Kit does. She wrote for one. Betwixt the horrors and heartbreaks of the Daily Iowan's hard-hitting journalistic coverage of the Pella tulip festival, the men's gymnastic team's middling season, and which butter sculpture was favorited to take home the blue ribbon at the Iowa state fair, Kit's column brought much needed laughter and hope into the homes and hearts of her fellow Iowans.

It's called "Polygamist's Love Letter." Here's an exciting picture of the words in that essay!

CollegeHumor

That One Time Kit Got Published on CollegeHumor.com

Kit submitted a humorous essay to a website widely known for it's appreciation of the sophisticated over the sophomoric when it comes to the comedic arts. She got a lovely rejection email from McSweeney's. Then, CollegeHumor gave her $50 for that essay and to this day she won't shut up about it at parties. In her defense, getting published on CollegeHumor does totally validate that Kit is capable of the kind of comedic writing websites are willing to pay for, doesn't it?
